Instructor, Esme Qunhua (Jane Wilde iRL) and Marlboro College Graduate
School announce registration for:
Teaching and Learning in Virtual Worlds
Class meets synchronously in Second Life every other Saturday from May 9
through August 8.
This three credit graduate education course is fully on line. Asynchronous
work will be done in SL and Moodle.
As a participant you will explore 2D and 3D virtual worlds including those
designed for children. You will examine research and theory about games
and simulations and their pedagogical implications, consider the social,
interpersonal, cultural, instructional, technical implications of virtual
worlds, and draw your own conclusions about the potential for using
virtual worlds within your teaching situation.
Course may be taken for graduate or continuing ed credit.
