Thanks to everyone who as responded and God Bless those of you who work
in pediatrics. I have been in medicine for almost 20 years now and the
advances we have made make me wonder why I ever got into medicine way
back when everything was so much harder! If the other imaging modalities get
any quicker I imagine that they tests will be finished before the orders are
even written. Fortunately, (or unfortunately) for those of us in ultrasound we
are an entirely "hands on, operator dependant, you better have a tech that
knows/cares what she's/he's doing" kind of position. Everytime they improve
the image quality it makes me that much more cognizant of what an awesome
responsibility we have to find the pathology -so that we will then image the
pathology- and then the doctors can treat the patient...you see where I'm
going with this.
So thanks again for all the replys. It will make my life much easier having some
ammunition for my production meetings.
