The team of Busony, 2 Elliotts, Pilcher and Wetmore totalled 47 species on a hike from the parking lot of the Kent Pond fishing access in Killington over the Appalachian Trail to the lower end of Thundering Brook Road and back this morning.
Highlights included a Common Loon and a Pied-billed Grebe on Kent Pond, Tennessee Warbler (heard), and great looks at Magnolia and Blackburnian warblers. There was a lot of bird song (and a lot of bugs).
