I was in Cambridge last week and found what was eventually id'd as a
Siskin fledgling- I was pretty stumped but got a few half-decent photos,
thanks to Steve, Mark and Jim at Audubon for sorting it out with me.

Nice find Kent,
In South Burlington, I reported brood patches on female siskins in early
April, and we banded again on the 25th of April and caught 20 siskins, 8
with brood patches. The same day, we had what must have been a major
movement of siskins, as a group of ~40 birds flew into a birch tree and
then took off to the north. My neighbor was banding again today and
caught
2 siskin fledglings. All sorts of complicated and interesting behaviors!
