Holly Hungerford, Valerie Hungerford, Roxanne Bogart and I spent a few lovely hours at Missisquoi NWR this morning before the rains came, and saw the following 40 species -- highlights included Black Tern, Black-and-White Warbler, and Northern Waterthrush, as well as hordes of White-Crowned Sparrows and a number of very vocal Baltimore Orioles and Great Crested Flycatchers. We were also treated to the sight of a robin sitting on a nest in a tree in the woods, our first time seeing this sight beyond our backyards.
