After comparing Jim Mead's images and mine from sunday I think that the 
Scissor-tailed Flycatcher found in the West Rutland Marsh is in fact a second 
bird and not the same one from Arlington this past weekend. Here's way, after 
looking over Jim's photos from the Tuesday I think the West Rutland Marsh 
bird is clearly a Juvenile. In the images from Jim , you can make out the 
shorter tail, the pale yellowish/tan color on the side and under the wing like a 
juvenile would have. The West Rutland Marsh bird does not have the pinkish 
coloration , nor the long tail of the adult bird that was seen in Arlington, there 
is a very noticeable difference when you look at the photos together. I agree 
with Jim's opinion that there is in fact a second Scissor-tailed Flycatcher.  It's 
safe to say it now appears that we have 2 Scissor-tailed Flycatcher sightings 
within 3 days of each other here in Vermont and that is amazing. Thanks to 
Jim for the heads up birding and images.  Many thanks to John and Kathleen 
Houghton visiting birders from Seattle Wa for showing me where they had 
seen the flycatcher in the first place, without that we may never have known. 
I birded with these folks for a few hours and had a fun time with them. And 
lastly thanks to the Rutland County Audubon for relying the troupes to help 
relocate the bird so other could have a chance to see a Scissor-tailed 
Flycatcher right here in Vermont.
