The Missisquoi National Wildlife Refuge will celebrate a late International
Migratory Bird Day on May 23 from 7:30 AM until 11:30 AM with a light lunch
to follow the survey. Opportunities to travel portions of the refuge by
boat, canoe or kayak (bring your own) or on foot to observe a variety of
birds will be available and we will tally results of the morning
observations at noon. The refuge headquarters will be open from 8:00 AM
until 4:00 PM on this day as well. Refuge exhibits, displays, and trails
will be open to the public. The traveling Quadrecentennial Celebration
exhibit "First Navigators" will be displayed in the visitor portion of the
headquarters from May 18 through May 31.
Please call 802-868-4781 if you wish to register for the birding
activities.
