A male ORCHARD ORIOLE made a brief appearance at Farrell Access this
morning. Also present were Horned Larks in the tilled field just before the
hard right on the access road.

Skulking about the shrubs and underbrush on the east trial at Brilyea, I was
rewarded with views of a gorgeous male CANADA WARBLER and a stunning male
Blackburnian Warbler foraging low in the trees. Also present at Brilyea,
among others, were several Ruby-throated Hummingbirds quietly browsing some
flowering shrubs along the east trail and the entrance road, an ALDER
FLYCATCHER calling a ways off the east trail, a red-shouldered hawk passing
overhead, a still-molting INDIGO BUNTING near the west parking area, and 9
other warbler species (Northern Waterthrush, Ovenbird, Common Yellowthroat,
American Redstart, Yellow, Magnolia, Black-throated Green, Black-and-white,
and Yellow-rumped Warblers).
