Holly Hungerford and I birded Geprag Community Park off Shelburne Falls
Road in Hinesburg this morning. The highlights of the 39 species we
heard and saw: Blue-winged and Golden-winged Warbler, as well as
Magnolia Warbler and Scarlet Tanager. It was also a great morning for
orioles, with many individual males singing and showing off -- a
wonderful chance to get a sense of the incredible diversity of songs
among different individuals of this species.
We also saw/heard five flycatcher species, and a first for both of us --
a Green Heron in flight (flew overhead twice).
