Sorry I missed out on this discussion earlier and am now just catching up.
We also went with the 6735b, based upon price and the option of a add on
14 cells ought to get us through a 7 hour day ...
This same machine with Intel CPU was $100+ (might have been $125 or $150
more, can't recall) more dollars.
I had also looked at Toshiba, and although their pricing was in line with the HP
or better, they did not offer enough battery.
Here is a comparison on CPUs which rate AMD processors well in terms of
battery and performance.
I think Steve B's suggestion that AMD's are battery hogs is a bit dated ...
(based upon my experience with other machines BTW, not this 6735b)
Moved away from dell based upon price and lack of battery.
