We had a cardinal go bald last year.? It started in late spring.? He was bald throughout the summer.? Around Labor Day, the feathers on his head started to come back and he was fully restored before snowfall.? A good deal for a bald guy.? Kay and Rob in Hinesburg

Cardinals do the same but look worse since their skin is also black..........
