We ran into the same problem: either no documentation at all, or the
documentation was in several different places depending on who wrote
it and for what purpose.
Soooo, we wrote our own:

I didn't include the "you can only map a drive from home if you're
using the VPN" instruction because I assumed that most people would
use one of the other methods. But I'll put that in, with additional
caveats that your network connection better be fast and reliable,
don't open doc from the mounted volume unless you like to live on the
edge, etc.
