Someday devices like this will be $25.
This unit is $119 (only at kmart, only early bird hours on black friday).
It runs Windows Embedded, and I would not recommend actually buying it, but
its a great lousy example of what I see as a possible future of 1-1.
A dirt cheap netbook that can wifi but is pre-loaded with public domain or open
courseware issued in grade K with all/many/most of the materials the student
would need through grade 12.
More realistically grade 7 or 9 when they are issued a 'real' computer.

in grade 3 they could see only pre-loaded material in grade 2,3,4, to keep their
