Yesterday some friends and I found 5 Red-breasted Mergansers from Shelburne
Point. As Susan Elliot mentioned, we too didn't find any large groups of
ducks, and almost everywhere we stopped along the lake there were duck
hunters.

Also, about a week ago a flock of 5 or 6 Common Redpolls flew over my house
in South Burlington.
