On Wednesday evening, Dec. 2, join the members of the Green Mountain Audubon Society for a special
program. Chris Rimmer, Director of the Vermont Center for Ecostudies will
present a program entitled Bicknell's Thrush: Conserving a Bird of Two Worlds.
The Bicknell's Thrush is one of North America's rarest and most vulnerable
songbirds, nesting in the mountaintop forests of Vermont and other northeastern
states and wintering in Hispaniola. Chris Rimmer has studied Bicknell's Thrush
for almost two decades and is in the forefront of conservation efforts to
protect this elusive bird.
This program will be presented at the Richmond Free Library on Bridge St. in
Richmond, starting at 7:00 P.M. The program is free and open to the public.
