Job Opportunity
VCHIP is in the midst of a formative evaluation of the Vermont
Blueprint for Health, a statewide healthcare initiative. We are
looking for part-time help developing data collection tools, managing
project databases, analyzing data, and producing data reports. The
right candidate will have experience developing and using Access,
Excel, and SPSS databases. He or she will have an interest in working
with large datasets and have graduate-level statistic skills. Both
independent and collaborative work will be required. Specific tasks
will include refining current Access data collection tools, creating
Access queries and running regular reports to check data quality and
to get a sense for what the data looks like. The data coordinator
will clean, screen, and manage data and will perform descriptive,
univariate, and multivariate analyses. He or she will work with both
the project lead and a collaborating statistician to develop analysis
plans and execute analyses. The data coordinator will be responsible
for creating tables, figures, and written explanations of findings.
With the exception of several trips to one or more primary care
practices to understand the research questions and the data collection
process and a meeting or two with funders at the Department of Health
in Burlington, work will occur at UVM. We are looking for someone to
work approximately 20-24 hours per week now through the end of June.
The potential for continuing work is likely, pending work quality and
funding availability.
