As if on cue for the Great Backyard Bird Count today, a flock of 20 Cedar Waxwings found the fruit still hanging on our apple trees, with one Bohemian in the group. Also, a flock of 30 Robins feeding on the apples as well. Today is the first time any of these birds have been seen here all winter. At the feeders, 3 Tree Sparrows and 2 Purple Finch among the usual suspects. A Carolina Wren that was here through December has not been seen since.
