Sorry for the abundance of emails today! A lot of people have
approached me with concerns about the current curriculum, course
offerings, and a lack of classes being offered in the 200 level for
this upcoming semester. Some have expressed interest in additional
Software Engineering type, hands on courses. I understand your
concerns. As a result, I am going to try to set up a meeting with the
CS Faculty to discuss potential areas for growth and the desires of
the students. Since I am graduating this semester, I will not be
expressing my own opinions. Instead, I would like to represent the
ideas and views of the undergraduate CS student body.
Here's what I need from you:
1. If you would like to attend the meeting, let me know what days and
times you are available.
2. If you would like your ideas to be represented, please email me
with a list of potential suggestions or set a time to meet with my
privately. I am usually available on M,W,F between 11:00am and 4:00pm.
You may wish to note concerns, specific courses you would like to see
available, areas of strength in our department, and where there is
most room for improvement. Also, special circumstances might be worth
noting (like the lack of 200 level classes -- if it applies to you).
