First and foremost, we won an award!!! For 3 years running now, we
have won the MENC award for chapter growth. Yay us!!!!!
I hope you all signed up to help out at the College Music Society
Conference this weekend. I am there now and it's a great event!! Don't
forget to come see David Elliott in the recital hall at 4 today. It
will be great!
Also, don't forget that Xiudan's senior recital is tonight at 7:30. We
still need one more usher for the concert.
We still need sign ups for Monday's Cole Porter concert- PLEASE SIGN
UP FOR USHERING.
Also, another thing about ushering- we need to stay outside the
recital hall while it's going on. I know, it's sad, but people will
still come in even if you are on the other side of the door shaking
your head. It's happened.
For New York:
We neeeeeeeed certified drivers. We will have 2 vehicles, and we need
2 certified in each. Right now, only Grace, Leah, and Aram are
certified for people that are going. Please sign up for it (it's just
a 2 hour video- you can do it) or else we won't be able to go. And how
sad would that be?
For volunteer opportunities:
Meghan Levick has asked anyone interested to help at the Founders
Memorial School Contra Dance scooping ice cream and helping with
crafts on Wednesday from 6-8. Hopefully a lot of people will go, it
should be fun!
Also, we're hoping to do the book drive at the end of the semester
again. That brings us some money and help with Habitat for Humanity.
Aaaaannnnnndd at the end of this horrifically long email, I just want
to run by you the possibility of having an instrument repair workshop
next year. Sounds fun!
That's it! Finally.
Lindsey
