I might add there there is additional software that you can use for 30 days
or purchase ($30) which coverts the handwritten notes to editable text in
Word. It works quite well.
I also would recommend the 8 gig model since once you remove the audio from
the pen, the notes no longer playback in the notebook. The audio is still
accessible from the Livescribe account. Notes can be shared there as well.
This is a great tool for high school and beyond where the student can write
at least an outline of major concepts to establish context. But, they not
need to get bogged down with trying to write every word. They can then use
the pinpoint precision of the audio replay to go back and fill-in the gaps.
