I saw my first American Kestrel of the year just after leaving the
Charlotte Town Beach this afternoon. There are still a few Common Goldeneye,
Bufflehead, and Common Mergansers at the beach, but it was good to see a Kestrel
perched on a telephone line to the south of the beach-a harbinger of
Spring for sure.
