Subject: [VTBIRD] Correction re: ivory gull

A slight correction in the interest of assisting the gull searchers:

I'm pretty sure that Tom and Donna Gooley, the posters who reported observing the ivory gull on Tuesday to the NNY listserv, are the folks Bill and I met in Rouses Point on Tuesday.  We all observed the gull FROM the marina, not AT the marina.  The bird was seen atop a piling in the lake, on the Vermont side of the channel.  Because of the position of the afternoon sun, the marina was a better vantage point from which to view the gull.
I hope this helps.
