A male and a female visited my feeders for a short time today, the  
first of this species I've seen here since 2008.

I looked back at my records and found that Evening Grosbeaks visited  
for several months every year from 1975 (the first year I kept  
records) through 1997 - but have showed up only occasionally since  
then. What a loss!
