By coincidence, my Carolina Wrens also chose 
to build in an old "Barn Swallow" nest this year.
The concrete nest cup -- a cement/clay/sawdust mix --
has previously fledged Barn Swallows, multiple House 
Finch broods, and Cliff Swallows at my front door.
