Memorial Field of Flags*
Each of the 2400 flags on Waterman Green represents 5000 people who were
killed in the Holocaust. Different colored flags represent groups of people
targeted by the Nazis.
Please come help set up the the display at 11 AM on April 11th (Meet at the
Allen House, Free Pizza)

Community Memorial Service with UVM Hillel, OZ, Temple Sinai, and ICVT
3 PM Waterman Memorial Lounge*
Honor victims of the Holocaust with a Yom HaShoah service that brings
together college students and the Burlington community on this solemn yet
important day of remembrance.
Featured Speaker: Alan E. Steinweis Professor of History, Dir., Center for
Holocaust Studies

Survivor Ginette Kellner to Speak at UVM
7 PM, John Dewey Lounge (Old Mill)*
Ms. Kellner was a young girl living in France when the Holocaust began and
was moved around and hidden by various families and friends. Come hear her
compelling story of hiding and escaping France with her mother.
*April 14
Film: "The Boy in the Striped Pajamas"
7 PM, Terrill 108*
A young German boy, the son of an SS Commandant, moves to the country with
his family where his father is assiged to preside over a prison camp. The
young boy, Bruno, befriends Shmuel, a Jewish boy living behind an electric
fence in the prison camp.

Litany of Names
11 AM- 3 PM, Davis Center Atrium*
Victims of the Holocaust are remembered by reciting lists of names of those
who perished. Please stop by the table to read names or listen and honor
those who are no longer with us.
