Hi,
This afternoon I saw one red finch at the niger feeder. I have looked at
several bird books but I can not ascertain which finch did I see. It has a
notched tail like a Purple Finch but is has a lot of streaking on sides and belly
and it does not have a white stripe behind the eye. I am about 80%
convinced that it is a House Finch. What do you think? Thanks.
