I started off birding at the marshy area described by Nikolas Kotovich. It is SE
of the intersection of Roscoe & Rotax Roads in Monkton. I was birding it from
Rotax Road. I was there from 7:15 to 7:30 a.m.

I then went to the boat access to Otter Creek off Fort Cassin Rd. in
Ferrisburgh from 8:50 to 9:12 a.m.

I drove back out from there and stopped where it opens up with a field on
either side of the road. In the field to my left was 10 Turkey Vultures. I
glassed them for a while and then saw a Peregrine Falcon fly over that same
field. I saw it at 9:15 a.m.
I then went to the field north of Otter Creek on Greenbush Rd. in Ferrisburgh.
Wilson's Snipe- 1 feeding along edge of flooded area at 9:30 a.m.
I then drove a little north of there and pulled over at a cattail marsh. I heard
my 2nd Virginia Rail of the morning @ 9:33 a.m. I also heard a few Swamp
Sparrows there as well.
