From what you describe is it conceivable that blood is being drawn down the vert to supply the subclavian?

Thanks everyone for your anwsers.... So I didn't give the full story...This patient was last seen in 06/09 with a normal carotid finding other than the significant proximal subclavian stenosis. Therefore, a bypass was made...Now 11 months later she is having severe dizzy spells and blackouts. Therefore the Neuroglogist talked to our Vascular surgeon and was questioning a "steal" from the bypass graft. We found out later today that this person had a distal ICA occlusion prior to the bypass placement on angiogram, therefore there couldn't be a "steal" that would effect the intracranial vessels...
