I've been wondering whether I've been hearing a mockingbird calling from
across the field in back of my property, but with several catbirds in
residence, I wasn't sure and hadn't had a chance to go investigate more
closely. In the four years I've been here, I've never seen or heard one
in the area. But just now, a handsome mocker flew into one of the
shrubs near my house. Hurray!
