Researchers at Dalhousie University are determining factors
influencing the accuracy of bird survey point-counts, and we need your
help! We welcome anyone with birdwatching experience to go to
http://leonardlab.biology.dal.ca/survey
to take part in a ~15-20 minute web survey that will simulate a
variety of point count scenarios and help managers design more
effective surveys and data analysis techniques. Participation is
completely anonymous, and fun! Please note that the scenarios are
deliberately on the difficult side -- this is to ensure that we
collect a range of scores -- but as a result, they'll be very good practice
for present and future citizen scientists!
