In my backyard yesterday I was enjoying the cool air and thought I'd "spish" to see if anything was in. Well that brought in the catbirds who were
annoyed by that noise. While watching them, 2 yellow warblers arrived foraging in the canopy. A male hummer came through and took a whack at
one of the warblers! At this point a warbling vireo joined the group and was agitated with crest raised and calling in its annoying way. Finally a
robin with a mouthful of insects popped into view to see what the ruckus was all about. So just remember be careful for what you spish for.
