Another good Friday morning at Catamount. Highlights included a tiny, tailless
Chestnut-sided W. fledgling hopping about with a scolding parent nearby, and a
first breeding confirmation for E. Wood Pewee, even though we have seen or heard
them every week since May 21. Also first ever survey recording of Rock Pigeon at
Catamount - thanks, Mike. We found the now empty Black-throated Blue nest upon
which a female was incubating 4 eggs a month ago - a beautiful tightly woven cup
about 2 feet off the ground.
