I met the chief scientist from DigitalGlobe at a conference a year ago
and he, impressed with our work, decided to provide us with over $20k
work of WorldView-2 imagery for Baltimore at no charge. We also have
Landsat, 4-band NAIP from two years, LiDAR, and IKONOS over the same
area - so a great collection of remotely sensed data from a wide range
of sensors for a common geography. All of the data is licensed to UVM,
but I have not put it on the GIS Data Shared Drive as I still need to
work out the space issues there. I did want to mention it in the event
any of you are interested in using it for teaching and/or research
purposes. Please let me know if you are interesed in a "data dump," and
we can exchange it via external drive.
Best,
Jarlath
