In a piece oriented primarily to my countrymen, I've used a
term which is widespread among them - an almost good-natured but
admittedly mildly derogatory term. Those who think all non-whites
are sacrosanct and beyond criticism will of course jump on this.
Those who recognise a large threat to planetary health in the
growthmania of China (incl its offshore province =-O) may allow a
mild reprimand of that enthusiastic materialism.
I do regret using a term which, as I now infer from the
comments, has not been globalised (good to know something has
escaped globalisation! ;-)). It will not serve very well to work up
a PC rage.
