A kayak spin around Branch Pond, off the Kelly Stand Rd in Sunderland, not far from the Long Trail, was surprisingly quiet today. No loons, no corvids, no hawks. The only interesting sighting was a brief flyover of 30 +/- swallows. Altho not close enough to ID, I did not think they were Tree Swallows - they all looked too brown - Rough-wing possiblily.
