If a new employee's start date is a Monday that also happens to be a
holiday, would folks move the official start date to Tuesday or give the
employee the holiday?
My thinking would be to start him on the Monday because he would otherwise
be penalized with a day less in wages for the work week because the
logical start date lands on a holiday.
I'm interested to know how other towns would handle it.
