A first-year Iceland Gull was among a good-sized group of gulls at the
Intervale Compost Facility in Burlington this morning around 8:45. I
estimate there were about 100 each of Herring Gulls and Great-blacked Back
Gulls. Interestingly, I couldn't find any Ring-billed Gulls among the flock.
The number of American Crows was huge, perhaps 300 - 400, along with large
numbers of starlings. A fly-over adult Bald Eagle sent all birds into the
air for awhile. At least one 'resident' Red-tailed Hawk (adult) was also
