The northern hawk owl is still hanging around outside Montpelier.  As of 7:30 this morning he/she was in the top of a tree in front of the first house past (west) of Jones Brook Rd. on the River Road.  Very near where it was first seen three weeks ago.  It has been moving around though, sometimes on the Route 2 (north) side of the Winooski River, and sometimes where he was this am, in the fields near Jones Brook Road.
