Hi fellow birders.

I am planning a birding trip to Cape May sometime in May. I am would like to

get some info about timing, areas not to miss, places to stay, etc. I am 
wondering if it would be best to stay in downtown Cape May vs Wildlwood or  
Avalon.
The Cape May Spring Weekend takes place on May 18th-24th. Should I avoid 
that weekend and go 1 week earlier or later?
Any tips for avoid tick bites and biting insects? Appropiate clothing and 
footware? Thank you.
