On Tuesday David Gusakov and I led an expedition to the wilds of Fletcher in search of the elusive NHO. Drove around for an hour or so with no luck. We talked to a secretary in the elementary school who said she saw an owl perched in the treetops around her house a couple times last week.
We did see the flock of Bohemian Waxwings in Hinesburg, perhaps a hundred or so. They are deceptively beautiful.
