This afternoon my dad Gary was southbound on I-89 and spotted the N. Hawk Owl 
from the moving car (he was in the passenger seat).  He reports:

"Seen in tall snag at approx. mi post 56.2 on RT 89 1PM  Jan 7, perhaps 150 yds 
off road [I-89] in field."

Mile post 56.2 is approximately at the intersection of Jones Brook Rd and 3-Mile 
Bridge Rd/River Rd.  I presume the owl was on the edge of one of the fields 
between I-89 and River Rd/3-Mi Bridge Rd.
