Sunday: for the first time this winter - seven Redpolls on the feeder. Also a
Barred Owl flew by the front windows, crash-landed in the driveway snowplow
bank, then spent a good hour up in a maple close to the house. I checked to
see, but there were no tell-tale signs of prey where it landed. Shelagh in
