Twenty-one participants in the GMAS field trip to Shelburne Bay, Shelburne Town Beach, and Charlotte Town Beach last Saturday recorded 25 species at the three locations. Common Goldeneye, Common Mergansers, American Black Ducks, Mallards, and the usual gulls were abundant at all locations. Among the highlights were a flock of 30 or so Canada Geese flying over led by 2 Snow Geese (SB), a Bald Eagle making a pass at the ducks (SB), a handsome male Northern Pintail (CTB), and a Red-bellied Woodpecker (STB).
