Hello,
I am not reporting
a bird sighting but rather a bird talk that you might be interested in
attending. There will be a talk on Bobolinks on Thursday January
27 at 7 pm at the Pond Village Church in Brookfield, VT.
The effervescent song of the Bobolink fills our hayfields during the summer,
but where are they the rest of the year, and why should we care? Dr. Rosalind
Renfrew, a conservation biologist from the Vermont Center for
Ecostudies, will take us along on the journey to reveal the complete life
of "our" migratory Bobolinks, and will share her latest discoveries.
Directions: The
Pond Village Church is on the edge of Pond Village where the floating bridge is
located. It can be reached by going up Route 65 from Route 14, by taking the
Ridge Road from Randolph Center (Exit 4) or by following Pond Village /
Brookfield signs from Exit 5.
