About 60 Bohemian Waxwings were feeding on ornamental crab-apples in
Plainfield Village this morning and otherwise hanging out around town.
Also, a belated report, an adult Bald Eagle was hanging out on US Route
2 between the villages of Plainfield and Marshfield on Sunday and
Monday. Look for it near the Marsh-Plain Inn & Motel, where a few of us
saw it on Sunday after an expedition to Groton State Forest (where we
saw a grand total of four bird species), and near the Unique Cabins,
where Sue Carpenter saw it on Monday.
