The light netting used to protect shrubs from deer damage cut down on window collisions at my former home by 100 percent. It also did not obstruct the view looking out.

A recent post on a "Kool Tools" site asked for suggestions for avoiding
window strikes. It received the usual responses, but this one sounded
promising. Has anyone ever tried it?

"I was recently in Florida at an outdoor restaurant where they had to keep
the birds from flying in from all angles. They used fishing line strung
through tiny eye bolts that were screwed in to wood framing. The fishing
line was about a foot apart in vertical lines. It left the view unobstructed
and it was hard to notice the fishing line, but the birds can see it and
don't want to run in to it."
