We heard it here in Montpelier too (as we were leaving the Savoy's 
showing of Pale Male-well worth seeing-but, due to city lights, we 
did not see the lightning. Honestly, until I read this post I wrote 
it off to "snow plows" but knew it to sound much more like lightning.
