A great day for a couple of northern beauties. On my fourth or fifth trip out to Three Mile Bridge Road I finally spied the Northern Hawk Owl atop a pole with a transformer near the mini development west of the intersection with Jones Brook Road. The wind was blowing pretty strongly and his feathers were pretty ruffled. Took a couple of pics that I will attempt to upload later. Upon arriving home I was pleased to find a common redpoll finch with the group of chickadees, goldfinches, titmice, cardinals and downy woodpecker at my backyard feeders.
