The Astrobiology Analytical Laboratory at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center
in Greenbelt, Maryland, invites applications for a NASA Postdoctoral
fellowship in the area of stable isotopes. Research proposals must
integrate the use of stable isotopes (2H/1H, 13C/12C, and/or 15N/14N) into a
research proposal that addresses a question of astrobiological or
astrochemical interest. The study of compound-specific stable isotope
analysis of small organic compounds in meteorites is a central focus of our
work.
The application deadline for the next fellowship cycle is November 1.

opportunity is at http://www2.orau.gov/NASA_Catalog/Opportunity/17728.

Our IRMS instrumentation includes a Thermo MAT 253 with dual inlet. Our
primary analyses use a GC/C-III Interface with Trace GC gas chromatograph
that is also connected to a Trace DSQ quadrupole mass spectrometer.
Auxiliary inlets include a ConFlo-III interface to both a Costech ECS 4010
EA and a Thermo TC/EA. We also have additional GC-MS and LC-MS capabilities.
Interested applicants should contact Jamie Elsila (the prospective advisor)
at [log in to unmask] to discuss potential research projects in advance
of the fellowship deadline.
