Hi Michael,
The resistors we use are 820 ohm (2% tolerance) 1/4 watt. You should be
able to pick them up for cheap through an electronics store or distributor
on line. It is pretty straightforward to solder them in--remembering to
shield the wire leads with shrink wrap.
